Flexible Itinerary At a Glance

Day 1 – 3: Mfuwe Lodge

• You will land in Lusaka from your international flight and prepare to be whisked away to the award winning Mfuwe Lodge! 
•  Wake up at Mfuwe Lodge feeling refreshed for your first full day! You will find nothing but serenity and comfort during your days at the award winning Mfuwe Lodge. Below is a flexible itinerary breakdown: 
  • 5:30am: Rise and shine for a light breakfast before your morning game drive 
  • 6:00am: A morning game drive to view iconic African wildlife, learning about the flora & fauna in the area, soaking in nature with every turn. Be prepared to be inspired and keep your eyes peeled! 
  • Around 9:30am: Return to camp with lots of great photos and feeling excited 
  • 11:00am: Brunch with delectable meals, with local, fresh choices! This is going to be your new favorite way to brunch. 
  • 12:00-4:00pm: This is your time, do whatever speaks to you most! Sit by the pool for some much needed relaxation, read a great book, enjoy a massage (or other treatment) at the incredible Mfuwe Lodge spa, or partake in Dazzle Africa project visits to learn more about how we give back to the region. 
  • 3:30pm: Tea Time consists of handmade baked goods and farm to table fruits with multiple beverage options. 
  • 4:00pm: Evening game drive for even more exciting wildlife sightings & our infamous nightly Sundowners. Your knowledgeable guide will find the perfect spot to pull over and mix some delicious drinks for the perfect bush sunset viewing. (Most guests find this to be a highlight of the safari!) 
  • 7:00pm: Return for a delicious group dinner!
  • TBD: The night is young and all yours! 

Day 4 – 6: Nsefu Camp

• Nsefu Camp, with 6 chalets, is the first safari camp in Zambia and therefore completely unique and steeped in history. Being first also has its benefits and there is no doubt about it; the camp really is in the best location in the South Luangwa, situated in the exclusive Nsefu Sector on a magnificent meander on the Luangwa River across which elephants often cross. 
• Although your safari itinerary (listed above) will be similar for each day, you never know what each new game drive will bring you!

Day 7 – 9: Luangwa Safari House

• Luangwa Safari House sits gracefully on the edge of a lagoon system frequented by large herds of elephants, impalas, giraffes and countless other species which use the lagoon as a source of water and food throughout the year. All of which is magnificently set off by the backdrop of the Chindeni Hills. The House has been designed to greet the senses from the minute you arrive, as you enter through the enormous pivoting door, light graces the entire front of the house and is open to the stunning wilderness views. The four double rooms are each subtly but differently decorated to imitate the elements – water, earth, wind and fire encompass the feeling of bringing nature into the house.

Day 10

Try to keep your chin up while you travel to the airport and make your way back home. There may not be elephants roaming around while you sip your morning coffee but your friends & family can’t wait to hear about your incredible safari experience!
