Nicole Wargo is a graduate student in Sustainability at Harvard University Extension School. She is passionate about exploring and seeks to make tourism more sustainable so that future generations can continue to expand their worldview, protect the planet, and promote a more equitable world through the discovery of travel.

She has worked alongside Harvard and Cornell instructors to identify indicators and develop a sustainable tourism plan for the community of Block Island, Rhode Island. Nicole has mapped historic sites and promoted cultural highlights along the Lewis and Clark Historic Trail with the National Park Service. As a Clean Cities Fellow with Clark County, Nevada, she is helping to reduce carbon in her community by engaging stakeholders to make the switch to electric vehicles.

Now, with Dazzle Africa, Nicole hopes to build on the skills she has learned and offer her unique perspectives on travel with purpose. She is excited for the opportunity build resilience within the communities of Zambia and encourage the conservation of wildlife through sustainable tourism.
