Day 1: After your international flight lands, meet your fellow travelers at the Lusaka airport for a short one-hour plane ride to Mfuwe Lodge.

Day 2-4: Mfuwe Lodge has an outdoor pool, relaxing spa, and other adventurous activities for you to enjoy. Mfuwe Lodge is also a great place to learn more about the projects you are supporting by traveling with Dazzle Africa. You’ll have the opportunity to visit Mfuwe Day Secondary School and school program, Hands Over Zambia, as well as the local community at one of our sponsored boreholes (water wells).

During your adventure, you can also visit Dazzle Africa’s philanthropic projects that your safari contributions fund, and see how you are making a difference for wildlife and the community.  These funds contribute to an anti-poaching airplane to patrol the skies, a conservation radio station, water wells, and an entrepreneurial school arts program and market, to name a few.

Start soaking in the sights and sounds of the South Luangwa Valley. This is where you will be exploring over the next 8 days! You get to choose how you explore. Twice daily game drives, walking safaris, and relaxation time at camp are all available for you to choose from.

Here’s what to expect on a typical day on safari:

  • 6:00 am: Sunrise breakfast
  • 7:00 – 10:00 am: Explore the bush and experience an abundance of African wildlife on your morning game drive
  • 11:00 am: Trade stories of your favorite sightings while enjoying the most delicious brunch
  • 12:00-4:00 pm: Many options for you to choose from, including visits to Dazzle projects or relaxing at the pool, spa, library, or in your beautiful chalet for an afternoon siesta
  • 4:00 pm: View nocturnal wildlife, enjoy evening sundowners, and take in the evening stars.
  • 8:00 pm: Return for a gourmet dinner prepared by a welcoming staff

Day 5: This morning you will transfer to one of the famous South Luangwa Bushcamps. The Bushcamps are small and intimate camps located in the wilderness of the national park. There are very few other camps in these areas so you will have uninterrupted and unplugged days in the bush. Invaluable to recharge and reset.

Day 6-8: Bushcamps are the perfect place to experience the wilderness of South Luangwa (think Out of Africa). All of the Bushcamps are in a different location and each is unique. These bushcamps are world-renowned for walking safaris, offer excellent wildlife drives, and provide an opportunity for peace of mind that is second to none.

Day 9: Enjoy your final breakfast in the bush (until your next safari)! You may have time for a game drive in the morning depending on your flight time home…You will be departing back to the charming Mfuwe Airport for your next destination or back home!
